Opening a bank account

Got tired of trying to keep track of the kids birthday, Christmas, and miscellaneous moneys and checks, so took them all down to the credit union to get their own bank accounts. Sofia took her iron chest with her one hundred one dollar coins.

Halloween 14'

[It's almost Halloween 2015 and I'm posting this now. I love back posting!]

This year's Halloween theme was 50's People because Marcelo already had his Elvis Jailhouse Rock costume, Peter could wear jeans and a white t-shirt, so I figured that left me with only one costume to make -Sofia's 50's skirt. This Land's End striped t-shirt has plaid many roles, the last of which was a pirate shirt for Peter the year prior, and what do you know, it still fits Sofia perfectly! It took a wee bit of convincing to get Sofia pretty-ed up for Halloween, but I drove it home with the kitty face paint. And I scored some awesome shoes at D.I. for $4. YES!!! I think I spent $60 on the fabric for the skirt though. But damn! She looks cute.

First Syllabus Competition

Orem High. First competition of the season. It's amazing what a little bit of makeup and a proper skirt can do. She seemed to have matured years in a matter of minutes! We were all so taken aback by Sofia's refined good looks.

School Begins: 5th Grade

Horseback Riding Lessons

Sofia started taking western horseback riding lesson at the beginning of the summer this year. This is something that she's been more excited about than anything else. She's actually taking to it quite well so far. Lessons are one hour a week at Clementine Farms here in Lehi. Hoping this will be "her thing".
