Sofia got to go to her cousin Logan's birthday party at the Children's Museum in Ogden today. I think I was more awe struck than she was by all the amazing structures and play areas. I had never seen a place like this, but I think it's different for Sofia. Between the toy laden gym at daycare and toy rooms she's visited at other people's houses, she's come to expect just what she got here. Frankly, I'm surprised she hasn't demanded a wing of the house for all her stuff yet.
Going down the tree. (Why I didn't take a picture of the entire tree, I don't know. It was really neat though.)

It took a few minutes, but Sofia managed to visit all the counties in the state of Utah

Making pirate hats with the boys

I was slightly surprised at how well Sofia seemed to get along in the environment but I did have a bit of a struggle trying to explain that the fish from the pan inside the tipi did not go in the stream in the dinasour display.

This smaller scale play item was one of her favorites.

Despite of Sofia's, now infamous, non-cuddly, tomboy-like qualities, playing mommy seems to come naturally to her.

The party was lot of fun and Sofia never tired of it, not even when we ran past her nap time and tried to participate in the "participation play". Unfortunately, she couldn't sit still long enough to act out her part as a pig and we were forced to relinquish her role after she whacked her head on the steps leading up to the seating.
