My first trip to the dentist

Today, Sofia had her very first dentist visit. She has four more molars left to come out (two on bottom and two on top) for all her baby teeth to be in. Her pediatric dentist said being a bit late on baby teeth was a good thing. No cavities were found and aside from a narrow little bite on the bottom she got from Daddy which might give her the appearance of little rat teeth, it was a very good dentist visit.

Taking top and bottom x-rays. No problem. Sofia even reminded the technician that she needed another thingy to bite on for the second x-ray.

Look at those little rat teeth.

Sofia picked out a toothbrush and did great during the cleaning. I think she only bit the technician once. She then told her it was her turn to brush. After the fluoride bubbles, she declared she was done, took off the headphones and tore the bib off as she tried to get off the chair. The tech encouraged her to wait for the dentist and she was quickly loured back into watching Dora.

Luckily Dora was available while Sofia waited for the dentist exam although when asked, she did say that she would have preferred Diego.

Sofia had a hard time picking out just one toy. She tried on a bracelet and made the technician untangle the orange necklace; tried them on; couldn't decide; then finally decided for a small yellow stuffed bear instead.

UPDATE: Sofia won the drawing for the Cavity Free Club and generously donated her movie ticket prize to us.
