Zoo '09

Because the kids have been a little cooped up in the house lately, we decided to make our once a year pilgrimage to the zoo.\

Although we strategically avoided the new merry-go-around at the beginning, we decided to let Sofia go on it at the end despite the exorbitant price for a few seconds of joy. I also couldn't help going into the gift shop for a look-see. (I think I may have a slight obsession with stuffed animals). The kids are REALLY good at not begging or even asking to have things from the store. I'm still not sure how I managed that one. Sofia kept showing me all the stuff she thought was cute but "didn't need" because she already had some at home. I had spotted some adorable little chinchilla looking things with big eyes that I couldn't resist. So when she asked if she could have one, I jumped at the opportunity to oblige her. Marcelo got one too, however, Ray didn't let me buy one for the baby brother since he does not yet exist in his eyes.
