Sofia had a very satisfying Easter. This was the first year we actually did Easter at home. Later we went to Abuelo's house. We'll be going up to Grandma & Grandpa's house next weekend for an Easter redux with the cousins. We had hard boiled eggs and croissants for breakfast and then colored some Easter eggs.

I didn't have too much time to prepare, so we did a fairly casual Easter celebration this year and I didn't even go to the store for any of it. I put together a quick basket with some items I had stashed away and decided to hide the whole basket in the front yard. (The voles have taken over our back yard, so I didn't even want to go back there as I was afraid I would find more hidden surprises there than Sofia).

We told Sofia the Easter Bunny had come to the house and left something in our front yard. After searching the whole yard (apparently Sofia is not very good at looking for things yet), she found her little treasure and was very excited about it. She didn't waste any time tearing through all the contents.
I wanted to get a picture of her with the little Meomi pin I got for her but she wasn't really into wearing it. She often resists things like this a lot and I really can't figure out why. She finally let Ray put it on her and then she started resisting me trying to get a picture of it. Anyway, the point of the story isn't really about how much she resists anything I try to do which we've known about for a long time now, but the funny part was when I tried to tell her that I wanted her to pose for a picture so I could send it to the Easter Bunny. Then she didn't really ask me, she just said to me, point blank, "Mommy, are you the Easter Bunny". For pete's sake you're only three years old, what's wrong with you! I guess there's no need to try to continue any Easter Bunny excitement next year. Hmm, maybe she is related to me after all.
she looks like a little angel.
