Each year, traditionally, we go to Omi & Grandpa's house in Layton for Easter. This year, we stayed home and invited Abuelo & Abuela, Tio Andres, cousin Autumn, and Tia Marcela and Tom for lunch and our first real Easter hunt. I got Sofia and Atumn some casual six dollar dresses from Walmart and they looked ever so cute. We had some lunch and then opened the the gates to the backyard. Unfortunately, I let all three of them (Sofia, Autumn, and Marcelo) out at the same time, putting myself in the unenviable position of trying to hold Sofia back from finding all the eggs and not leaving any for the littler guys.
Sofia seemed to know exactly what to do, and despite their slow turtle pace, Autumn and Marcelo were quick to follow in the egg hunt. I also hid some baskets for each one and Tia Marcela had her own bunny baskets for each as well. They all had a good time. There was only one tug of war incident with Marcelo taking Sofia's (empty) basket and Sofia trying to rip it from his hands. And despite, all the sugar consumption, there were no major meltdowns to report.
